Services for this year will be for the transportation of luggage only, using quads on tracks and large freight toboggans. Approximate dimensions for toboggans are: 3’wide x 2’tall x 9’long. You load (and unload) your own luggage into the toboggan, making sure that it is not filled above the
side rail height.
The rates for village transportation are $25.00 per one-way trip.
Cash only, sorry for any inconvenience. This price includes GST.
Service will begin on Mount Washington’s opening day, which is scheduled for Dec 4, 2008 conditions permitting. If opening day changes, so will the first service date for Grizzly Alpine village transportation.
The hours of service will be 9:00am - 11:00pm for weekends and holidays and 9:00am - 10:00pm weekdays. One hour’s notice is required, but we will try to accommodate all needs.
We are not responsible for any freight left unattended, so please make sure that there is someone at the destination to unload the luggage as soon as it’s delivered.
Any garbage loaded on toboggans must be in proper non-leaking bags, and must be securely tied. The toboggans can be a rough ride, so please pack breakables accordingly. We are not responsible for any damage to items during transit. All services are weather permitting, and subject to change. We reserve the right to cancel any trip or all services without notice.
There will be signs at the four pick-up sites that will include our phone number

WHO? The service is available to residences within the Strata 799 village. To request this service call (250) 898-0488 and leave a message including phone # or email: grizzlyservices@gmail.com and we will send you specific information and costs for your requirements.
WHAT AND WHEN? We will pick up garbage once per week on Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a stat holiday) starting at 9:00am, conditions permitting. The first
pick up of the year will be on the Monday following Mount Washington’s opening day.
Recycling will also be collected at the same time, but will count as part of the collection volume. If you don’t completely fill a can with garbage, you may fill it with recycling as long as the garbage is separated from the recycling in separately tied bags. Recycling must be in blue/clear bags or it will be treated like garbage. Please buy decent bags, and don’t make them very heavy, as they will have to be hand-carried some distance. Garbage cans must be clearly marked with building and unit numbers.
HOW MUCH? The monthly fee for weekly garbage pick up at your door will be: $30.00* for one regular sized garbage can, and $15.00 per each additional garbage can. Multi-unit buildings with garbage rooms should call for an estimate.
*There will be two extra garbage pick ups over the Christmas holiday. Dates for extra collections will be: Boxing Day (Dec. 26) and New Year’s Day (Jan. 1). There will be an additional fee of $10.00 for the month of December for these extra pick ups.
There will be a 10% discount for seasonal prepayment of service.
Payment may be made by cash or cheque, and must be received a minimum of one week in advance of the garbage pick-up date or the garbage will not be collected.
When ordering garbage service, please have the following information ready:
Your name, mailing address, and email address
Old building number and new mountain street address
How many cans you will be using
All garbage prices are subject to GST.
We reserve the right to cancel any service or all services without notice.
EXAMPLE
One garbage can with a seasonal pre-payment option would cost:
Dec. $40.00;
January – April $30.00 per month x 4 months = $120.00
$40.00 + $120.00 =$160.00
Less 10% prepayment option: $160.00 – $16.00(10%) = $144.00
$144.00 + $7.20 (5% GST) = $151.20 total for one garbage can for the season if pre-paid.
