Check In / Check Out Information:
Central Check In Office: (for check in
only located at the General Store & Reception Building)
Winter: Open daily 4:00pm- 8:00pm, Fridays
4:00pm- 10:00pm
Summer/Fall Season: Check in only by advance arrangement on an
individual basis The staff in the central check in office do not work for Alpine Accommodations, they provide check in service for resort guests only. At the check in location they will take an imprint of your credit card (the same one you paid for the reservation with) for security deposit, and will have you sign any credit card sales slips. They will then provide you with a package that contains your keys, basic unit information, a map with your rental indicated and your parking pass(s). If you are unfamiliar with the resort area please ask the staff at the check in for
directions and they would be happy to help.

Check In Details:
Person named on reservation must be the person checking in & have the credit card they paid with present for security deposit RESERVATIONS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE TO ANY OTHER PERSON(S)
If you are unable to arrive during the set check in hours above you MUST call our office to make other arrangements with our staff at least 48 hours in advance of a late arrival. If you happen upon bad weather conditions or you are running late, please make a courtesy call as soon as possible. At check in you will be provided an envelope containing unit keys, parking passes, house rules and a map showing the location of the rented unit. You will be required to present your credit card used to reserve
the unit for verification and to provide a security deposit credit card imprint. Check out is 11:00 am promptly, year-round. All Rentals have:
Linens:
-Bedding- As configured to unit, bed set up for all beds and if applicable sofa beds
-Towels- For the max occupancy #ppl unit allows
(pool /sauna / hot tub units guests may want to bring extra along)
-Kitchen- Dish cloth and tea towel Basic Starter supplies kept in units:
Toilet paper / Liquid hand soap pumps
Salt & Pepper / Dish soap / Dishwasher detergent (if applicable)
Carpet spot cleaner / Garbage Bags / Kitchen bags/ plus some other basic cleaning items
We do not supply:
Laundry soap / Bar soap / Shampoo / Conditioner / Matches / Food items / Stationary etc. Please call us in advance if you have specific questions All Rentals are:
Self catering for entire stay and guests expected to maintain in a respectful state during their stay.
We do not provide daily housekeeping but housekeeping is available for an additional charge. Please call in advance should you wish to request this service.
Check In Location:
It’s approximately a 16-kilometer drive along Strathcona Parkway from the bottom of Mt Washington to the resort area. Please stay on the main road, as you do not have to make any turns to reach our office. Our office is located on the same road you drive all the way up on. We are in the Mt Washington “Village Reception and General Store” building. This will be the very first “Street level” building on your left as you advance upon the resort. Please refer to the map provided for your convenience. It is advised that you bring this map along on your trip so that you
may refer to it should you need to. In extreme weather, chains are available for rental at the base of the mountain during business hours only. Please drive with care especially at night when the plows are not as active. The roads are all paved and generally in good condition during business hours when most people are traveling them.
Parking:
Please be advised that there is limited parking at each building at Mt Washington. If you are traveling in several vehicles please be aware that each individual rental unit is assigned just 1 or 2 parking permits, which are required and will be issued to you at check in. We cannot provide additional permits over the limit of what is assigned per unit. Vehicles without permits or parked in incorrect areas are towed at owner expense. We highly recommend groups ride together to maximize vehicle occupancy & minimize parking problems.
Village units in the snow cat / pedestrian only area must use Strata 799 lots only.
WOODSTOVES:
Units with woodstoves or wood fireplaces DO NOT have wood provided.
There is no fire department on site so guests are asked to burn "Fuel logs" ONLY)
(COMPRESSED FUEL LOGS ONLY - MUST
BE BROUGHT ALONG BY GUEST.)
Unit 81-D uses tiny starter size logs only.
PHONES:
Pay phones are located at the Alpine & Nordic Lodges and outside the Village
Reception Building (Village Market). There are no phones in the rentals.
SNOW CAT: (Units in the
Village area) Operates daily from the store for ingoing guests. Saves bringing goods/supplies to unit on foot. A tarpaulin is advisable to cover gear as waiting periods can be up to 20 minutes.
Check in with us first to obtain parking permit.
Drop your gear in the pick up area for snow cat, park across the road with permit displayed.
Reservations are required for pick up outgoing from unit. CALL
250 207-SNOW(7669) to reserve in advance. Arrange the night
before departure for pick up at your rental unit (check out is at 11:00 for
all units so you will need to arrange pick up reservation to arrive to pick
you up by 10:45 to avoid late check out fees)
THEY REQUIRE AT LEAST 1 HOUR NOTICE. PLEASE READ
All rentals during the Christmas holidays must be a minimum of 4
nights unless we have shorter stays available between
bookings. Check-ins/outs cannot be on December 25th or January 1st as our office is
closed on these days.
PLEASE LOCK ALL DOORS, INCLUDING BALCONY DOORS, WHEN DEPARTING.

MARKET:
Most guests purchase groceries in the Comox Valley and use the Village
Market as backup. Confection, liquor, grocery basics and movie rentals
available.
BANKS: Major banks have branches in the Comox Valley.

HOSPITALS: Major hospital located in Comox, 3km from
Courtenay. Ph. 339-2242
TRAVEL:
GAS: No Service stations on the Mt. Major
companies have stations in the Comox Valley, 30km from ski area. Merville
store is the closest location for fuel.
CHAINS:
Are recommended to be carried by ALL vehicles using Mt. Washington Road.
PARKING:
Only park in the lot assigned to your building or a dedicated overflow area
with the parking permits issued to you displayed on the dash of the vehicle.
Village units must use only the Strata 799 lots. Temperatures are sub-zero
Celsius and can dip to 25°C below. Be sure your ANTIFREEZE is adequate. Lock
de-icer may prove handy in extreme conditions.
DRIVING:
From Victoria 3hrs drive North
on Hwy 19
From Vancouver 1˝ hr ferry to Nanaimo, then 90 minutes North
on Hwy 19. Turn left at exit #130 Strathcona Parkway.
Mount Washington is located 25 km west of the Comox Valley, 50 km
south of Campbell River and 100 km north of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.
