Snowmobiles-
There's an area to use your snowmobile part way down the mountain.
Snowmobiles are not welcome in the resort area itself.
Fishing-
There is a great little trout lake located at the bottom of the mountain.
Take a left at the bottom of the mountain just before the chain up lot.
Access to Wolf Lake is a rough road on the right, 5 min drive or so in. The
entire Mt Washington area is full of small lakes just waiting for you to
explore their fullest potential.
Spring, Summer & Fall Activities-
Scenic Chairlift Rides
Enjoy the scenic ride to the summit of Mount Washington (1588 m
elevation) and take in the spectacular surroundings. The panoramic view from
the top includes sights such as one of British Columbia's oldest and most
picturesque parks, Strathcona Provincial Park, the Comox Glacier, Mt.
Arrowsmith, the Strait of Georgia, the Coast Mountains and even Mt. Baker on
a clear day.
Interpretive signs identify the unique flora and fauna found in our mile
high alpine as well as the more distinct landmarks you are able to view
along the self guided tour on the easy bark mulch trails. You then have the
opportunity to take the breathtaking chairlift ride back down or choose to
hike a more rugged downhill trail to the base. Scenic chairlift rides
are open from about the end of June thru the end of September yearly.
