Enjoy the scenic ride to the summit of Mount Washington (1588 m elevation) and take in the spectacular surroundings. The panoramic view from the top includes sights such as one of British Columbia's oldest and most picturesque parks, Strathcona Provincial Park, the Comox Glacier, Mt. Arrowsmith, the Strait of Georgia, the Coast Mountains and even Mt. Baker on a clear day.

Interpretive signs identify the unique flora and fauna found in our mile high alpine as well as the more distinct landmarks you are able to view along the self guided tour on the easy bark mulch trails. You then have the opportunity to take the breathtaking chairlift ride back down or choose to hike a more rugged downhill trail to the base.  Scenic chairlift rides are open from about the end of June thru the end of September yearly.
